As a systems engineer, you will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security
Responsibilities
- Conduct Technical presentation for pre-sales work
- Perform installation and configuration of IT solutions
- Provide onsite post-sales technical support to customers
- Resolve customer technical issues
- Field work is required
Qualifications
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- Good hands-on IT knowledge required.
- Participates in designing, implementing and post-sales support.
- Architecting infrastructure solutions.
- Can conduct product and solution presentations.
- Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Eager to learn new technologies.
- Have good work ethics and demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
Skills
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR:
1. Systems Engineer for Availability Solutions:
- Knowledge of Veritas Backup Exec, NetBackup or any Backup Software is an advantage, but not required.
- Working knowledge or at the minimum understands the concept of a Database such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, IBM DB2, etc..
- Exposure to Email Solutions such as Microsoft Exchange and IBM Domino.
- Experience in Windows Server, Linux Red Hat or SUSE, UNIX IBM AIX or HP-UX.
2. Systems Engineer for Security Solutions:
- Working knowledge in Symantec Security Solutions or any Anti-virus software is an advantage, but not required.
- Have practical experience in Networking Infrastructure.
- Skills in handling Firewall or IPS Solution.
- Experience in Windows Server, Linux Red Hat or SUSE
